I was introduced to carpentry and woodworking in the late 1950s. My father was a general contractor and my grandfather was the local handyman in a small Mississippi town. I worked with both of them while growing up. My love of woodworking has grown and developed throughout my career in the automotive/manufacturing industry. I love to build furniture and have honed my skills producing commissioned pieces. In 1998 my wife and I came to Cashiers, NC to own/operate a small Country Inn. I set up shop and began building furniture for the Inn as well as repairing the antiques as they suffered from commercial use. I began doing commissioned pieces for the Inn customers and it has grown from there.
While I enjoy buiding all types of projects, my personal passion is tables.
I am still a one man shop, which means that you talk directly to the craftsman who will design the piece to your specifications, select the wood, build and finish, then sign the completed product.
